Sample Plan for New Students
The sample shows a typical plan to complete the degree based on current degree requirements and course offerings, and is not the only possible plan. The number of credits for each course is in parentheses. Some classes have prerequisites, and the order of courses in the sample plan accounts for these. Each new student, in consultation with their advisor, will complete a personal academic plan tailored to their specific goals and interests.

Curriculum Notes
- All Albers courses require a C- or better including MATH requirements. Transfer credit for Albers courses requires a C or better.
- Effective fall 2024 and for accounting majors only, students need MATH 1010 (College Algebra for Business) or MATH 1021 (Precalculus: Algebra) instead of MATH 1130 (Elements of Calculus for Business) or MATH 1344 (Calculus I). Students who plan on a double in business may need to complete MATH 1130 or 1344, depending on the academic discipline, and should consult their academic advisor.
- Students must complete all business foundation courses, except for BLAW 3700 and OPER 3600, before taking MGMT 4890. BLAW 3700 and OPER 3600 can be taken in the same term as MGMT 4890.
- Excel Level I Certification must be completed before graduation.
