Job Description

As the Product Manager for Telehandlers & Attachments, I lead the strategic direction, lifecycle management, and growth of the telehandler machine and attachment portfolio. I work with customers, sales and service teams, engineering, supply chain, and operations to identify market opportunities, define product roadmaps, and deliver solutions that improve productivity, safety, and profitability. I evaluate competitive offerings, develop business cases for new products and enhancements, and drive cross-functional execution from concept through launch.

Company Description

Genie was founded in 1966 when Bud Bushnell purchased the manufacturing rights to a material lift powered by compressed air. Customers were impressed by the "magic in the bottle" used to raise and lower the hoist, inspiring the Genie name that remains synonymous with innovation today. As demand for material lifts and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) grew, Genie expanded its portfolio to include products such as man-lifts, telescopic booms, articulated booms, scissor lifts, and telehandlers. Today, Genie equipment is used around the world across a wide range of industries, including rental, construction, aviation, entertainment, industrial, government and military, warehouse, and retail applications. In 2026, Genie proudly celebrates 60 years of innovation and has remained headquartered in the Seattle area since its founding.

Mentoring Objectives & Scope

My goal is to help mentees understand the process of navigating the job market after finishing their post-secondary programs. I am passionate about leadership, communication, and emotional intelligence. Having switched career paths during my MBA program at Seattle U, I can help provide guidance on how to navigate this process and approach current managers, mentors, or connections on steps to take to prepare for a career transition.

As a mentor, I can support students in the following:

When and where do you hold meetings with your students?

Hybrid (mix of in-person and virtual) I can meet near the Seattle U campus on Friday afternoons or at Genie's HQ in Bothell from Tuesday to Thursday. I am available for virtual meetings most afternoons or evenings as well.

Additional Information

I love spending time hiking and skiing as well as playing tennis and basketball with friends. I am a huge college basketball fan and am learning more about home improvement and renovations now that my wife and I are homeowners in the area.
